Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE...
-
The Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
-
In the literal, six-day, creation account that is recorded for us in the book of Genesis.
-
That the eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
-
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in His virgin birth; in His miracles; in His sinless life; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
-
That salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense, salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
The Holy Spirit is God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination, He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Saviour. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows spiritual gifts to them by which they serve God through His church. His presence is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church for worship, evangelism, ministry, and service.
-
Human life to be sacred and that it begins at conception. According to the belief that all life is sacred and God-given, abortion is a violation of God’s fundamental law for human society.
-
God created male & female separately, with characteristics unique to each gender so that we may serve Him in our God-given biblical roles.
